In 1994, the idea was simple. The City of Gretna, its neighbors, local businesses and city officials on behalf of everyone who loves its small town charm, organized a yearly festival with the promise to make it family-friendly, keep it casual, make it fun, put on an amazing show, and above all else, celebrate Gretna’s unique culture.

With ongoing support from sponsors and supporters and continued emphasis on booking national acts and local artists, Gretna Fest is quickly becoming one of the best festivals in and around New Orleans, attracting music lovers from near and far!
